Biography:

I have represented the Washington Central Ward since 2008 as a Labour and Co-Operative Councillor. I have lived in Washington for most of my life been born in the Central Ward, with my husband David we have brought our children up here.

I have recently returned to my nursing roots and became a Covid Vaccinator at the Washington Nightingale Vaccinations Centre, I’m a Covid Champion and I have volunteered in the ward with Friends of Princess Anne Park and Columbia Community Centre as well as been a school governor for over 20 years, I'm currently Governor at John F. Kennedy Primary School, Biddick Academy. I'm an active member of the City Councils Scrutiny Committee and currently serve as Vice Chair. I love to spend my spare time walking along the Coast, River Wear or in one of our many Washington Parks.

I hold a Ward Surgery every second Saturday of the month (except during August and Bank Holiday weekends) between 10.00am and 12.00 noon at the Bridge Education Centre, Columbia.
