Scrutiny Committee
Description:
The Scrutiny Committee carries out policy review and development, conducting research and gathering evidence on issues of local concern, and providing in-depth analysis of policy issues to provide recommendations for improvement to the Cabinet. The Scrutiny Committee assists the Council and Cabinet in development of budget and policy framework, performance management, monitoring efficiency savings, value for money and quality provision. The Scrutiny Committee also scrutinises the performance of external partners.
