It is a privilege to have served the residents of Washington East Ward since 2012, I'm married with grown up children and understand the pressures on families living in our community, I'm currently working for a local Charity as a welfare/ debt advice worker and feel I can bring some of my skills into my roll as a local councillor.
I've served as a school governor of over 20 years and I am currently a governor at Barmston Village School but I also have experience within the secondary sector. I have also ran my own business and worked with young people as a business ambassador.I have extensive experience in the finance and employability sectors.
In my spare time I work with Washington Mind to deliver courses and empower people to make better financial choices, this is important to help people build confidence & resilience as none of us ever know what is round the corner, I'm also a Volunteer at Washington Millenium Centre.
I hope to be able to continue in these rolls for many years.
