While I had four very enjoyable years representing the people of St. Chad’s, my main base for politics in Sunderland has always been St Michael’s ward, where I have lived for over 60 years and been a Councillor since 2014.
Currently I am a member of the Economic Prosperity Scrutiny Committee, plus I hold the post of vice-Chair of the Council’s East Area Committee. I also serve as a trustee of the George Hudson Charity and the Sunderland Orphanage and Educational Foundation
Housing has always been a major interest as I worked in that profession for over 40 years.
Away from local politics my main hobby is football, having actively supported Sunderland since the 1959/60 season and travelled throughout Scotland and Europe to watch matches. In addition I am a member of the Sunderland Old Township Heritage Society.
next ward Surgery will be held in the Haver Hall, St Nicholas Church, Queen Alexandra Road/ Dunelm South, on Thursday 16th March between 4-5pm
